Summary:

A pale blenny with reddish-brown to brownish rectangular blotches along the upper side fading to wards the rear, a large dark brown spot in front of the dorsal fin, a pair of dark pale-rimmed spots on the throat, and numerous whitish oval spots on the sides.

Distribution	Yonge Reef to Mudjimba Island, QLD; tropical, west-central Pacific. Inhabits shallow, semi-exposed, hard-coral and rocky reefs with rich algal growth.
Biology	Like all Blenniidae, the sexes are separate (gonochoristic) and females spawn demersal, adhesive eggs into a nest. The male parent guards the eggs until the larvae hatch.
