Summary:
A large pale greyish to light brown moray with spots on the face and large well-separated brown blotches in irregular rows along the sides, a greenish-yellow head and a large white spot at the rear of the lower jaw.

Distribution

Recorded in northern Australia from the Dampier Archipelago, WA, to Moreton Bay, Qld; also at Scott Reef, WA. Found elsewhere in the tropical Indo-Pacific.
