Summary:
A very small wriggler that lacks scales, gill rakers and sensory pores. The live colour is unknown; in preservative Tyson's Arrow Goby is whitish with a faint dark spot on the caudal peduncle, a dark anal fin and melanophores scattered on the gill cover, pectoral-fin base and on the abdomen.

Distribution

Recorded in Australia from Escape Reef, QLD. Found elsewhere in Flores, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. Likely to inhabit sandy areas on coral reefs.

Features

Meristic features: Dorsal fin I, 9-10; Anal fin I, 9-10; Pectoral rays 17-21; Pelvic fin a single ray; Caudal fin (branched rays) 8-10.
