Summary:
A yellowish-orange deepwater fairy basslet with silvery lower sides, a yellow stripe from the eye to the end of the lower jaw,and a broad yellow margin on the pelvic fins. The third dorsal-fin spine and third soft dorsal-fin ray are elongate. Juveniles reportedly have a black blotch at the rear of the spinous dorsal fin.
