Summary:
A deepwater basslet with two reddish-orange stripes along the upper sides, rows of small yellow spots on a pinkish background on the lower sides, and a yellowish head.
This species was previously known as Pseudanthias aurulentus.

Distribution

Holmes Reef in the Coral Sea in Australia's EEZ. Found elsewhere in the Eastern Central Pacific.

Species Citation

Anthias (Mirolabrichthys) aurulentus Randall & McCosker, 1982, J. Aquaricult. 2(3): 59-69. Type locality: off wreck of 'V. Lindenbank', outer ocean reef 1.5 miles northwest of English Harbor, Tabuaeran [= Fanning Island], Line Islands, central Pacific.
