Known in Australia from central New South Wales (33 16 S, 153 08 E) southwards to eastern & western Tasmania. Elsewhere the species occurs worldwide, in depths of 522–775 m. |
Feeding |
Manefishes feed on small fishes and a range of invertebrates including squids, crustaceans, salps, chaetognaths and siphonophores. |
Biology |
Little is known of the biology and ecology of manefishes. |
