Summary:
A small coral reef goby with a thick dusky bar below the eye, a small indistinct black spot at the beginning of the first dorsal fin, a short dark bar on the tail base, 4-6 cheek spines and an elongate, filamentous 4th dorsal-fin spine.

Distribution

Recorded in Australia from Rowley Shoals to Ashmore Reef, Western Australia, and Tijou Reef to One Tree Island, Queensland. Found elsewhere in the tropical, east-Indo-west-central Pacific. Inhabits sandy and muddy coral rubble areas.
