Genus Gadomus


Summary:

Species in the genus Gadomus have a firm body, strong head bones, a well-developed chin barbel and stout fin rays, usually with greatly prolonged rays in one or more of the dorsal, pectoral and pelvic fins. Usually creamish of light brown in colour.

The genus was erected by Regan (1903) and contains 14 species. Three described species are found in Australian waters.
