Summary:
A tan to greyish shrimpgoby with 8-10 brown bars along sides, including several broad darker bars separated by yellowish interspaces, bluish to whitish spots on the head, and a small black spot near the top front margin of the dorsal fin, and a black streak near the upper/outer margin of the caudal fin.

Off Carnarvon, Western Australia, around the tropical north, to Moreton Bay, Queensland. Elsewhere the species is known from Indonesia and the Philippines. Inhabits silty inshore reefs at depths of 2-10 m. |

The species is named cebuanus for the type locality, Cebu in the Philippines. |
