Genus Pelsartia

Summary:
Pelsartia is a genus of grunters with a single marine species found in south-western Australia. It has conical teeth without additional lobes or points, the posttemporal bone expanded and serrate posteriorly, its posterior surface not covered by scales;  four or five dark vertical cross bands on each side of the body, the darkest just above the centre of sides; juveniles also with three longitudinal rows of dark spots dorsally.
