Genus Psettina


Summary:
The Indo-Pacific bothid genus Psettina is characterised by having a very small, elongated, elliptical body; eyes separated by a narrow bony ridge without sexual dimorphism; a small mouth; no rostral or orbital spines; ctenoid scales; a caudal skeleton without subdivision. The genus contains 10 species, five of which are found in Australian waters.
