Genus Dalatias


Summary:
A genus of kitefin sharks with a single wide-ranging species. Snout very short, thick, fleshy, bluntly rounded; lips noticeably thick and fleshy; dorsal fins of similar size and without spines, base of 2nd only slightly longer than base of 1st, origin of 1st closer to pectoral fins than to pelvic fins.
