Summary:
A Widespread genus with five species, two in Australian waters. Body slender (depth 18–25% SL), cylindrical; distinct gap with several isolated spines separating spinous and soft portions of dorsal fin; last rays of the dorsal and anal fins noticeably longer than preceding rays.
