Genus Isurus


Summary:
A genus with two species of mackeral sharks found worldwide, both in Australia. Single lateral keel on caudal peduncle; teeth long, smooth-edged and lanceolate, without cusplets, protruding noticeably from mouth; first dorsal-fin origin over or behind free rear tips of pectoral fins; origin of second dorsal-fin well in front of anal-fin origin.
