Summary:
A pale greyish shrimpgoby with three rows of large brown spots and scattered smaller spots on body, fine orange vertical lines on lower sides, diagonal orange bands on head, a small white spot on upper pectoral-fin base, and a larger white spot on basal part of fin.

Distribution

Recorded in Australia from Mermaid Reef, WA, and Nymph Island to Cape Kimberley, QLD. found elsewhere in the tropical, west-central Pacific.

Inhabits sandy rubble areas in lagoons, on reef slopes and reef crests - usually on dark substrates.
