Distribution

Wyndham, Western Australia, to Sarina, Queensland. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical, Indo-west Pacific. Inhabits seagrass beds, mangroves and silty-sandy-shelly areas near reefs.

Remarks

This species may share burrows with alpheid shrimps.
