Summary:
A white goby with a dark brown stripe from the snout to upper pectoral fin base, converging with bar across the nape, a dark brown band from each dorsal fin to the lower side, a light to dark brown bar across the caudal-fin base, a dark brown band on the upper margin of the pectoral fin.

Distribution |
Escape Reef, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical west Pacific: Vietnam, Philippines to Flores (Indonesia), Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Palau. Inhabits sand and rubble areas in bays and on steep reef slopes. |
