Distribution

Southern Ocean, off Macquarie Island and the Kerguelen Plateau (expected off Heard Island and MacDonald Islands). 

Etymology

The species is named for the type locality, Macquarie Island in the Southern Ocean.

Ebinania macquariensis Nelson 1982, Canadian Journal of Zoology 60(6): 1485, figs 10-11. Type locality: off north-east Macquarie Island, Southern Ocean, 494-714m [midpoint 54°31.5´S, 159°01.5´E].
