Off Shark Bay, to the Arafura Sea, northwest of Lynedoch Shoal, Northern Territory. The species also occurs off Papua New Guinea. |
Etymology |
The specific name is from the Latin occidentalis (= western) in reference to it's distribution in Western Australia, west of the other Australian species of Psychrolutes, P. marcidus. |
