Summary:
A small deep-bodied and highly compressed dory with a large terminal mouth, highly protrusible jaws and scutes along the ventral midline forming a median keel. The Little Dory is silvery-pink colour with an indistinct dark oval blotch below the middle of the soft dorsal fin.

Recorded in Australia from SW of Shark Bay to S of Scott Reef, Western Australia, and NNE of Raine Island to S of Saumarez Reef, Queensland. Found elsewhere in the tropical, east-Indo-west Pacific. |

Similar Species |
Cyttopsis cypho differs from the other species in the genus, C. rosea in usually having an indistinct dark oval blotch below the middle of the soft dorsal fin, and scutes along the ventral midline forming a median keel. C. rosea also reaches a much larger size than C. cypho. |
