Summary:
A pale greyish to yellowish dottyback with a bluish upper head and back, a bluish dorsal fin becoming yellow towards the rear with a dark blue spot on the front of the fin.

Distribution

Known from the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland and reefs in the Coral Sea. Inhabits sandy areas around rocky and coral outcrops.

Biology

Dottybacks are protogynous hermaphrodites, and form small harems with a dominant male and several females.
