Carnarvon, Western Australia, to Moreton Bay, Queensland. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical, east Atlantic Indo-west Pacific, from West Africa to southern Japan. |

Biology |
Females produce litters of 1-10 pups every year after a gestation period of 11.5 months. The pups are born at a length of 25 cm. |
