Distribution

Barrow Island, Western Australia, to Townsville, Queensland. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical, east-Indo-west Pacific.

Feeding

Feeds near the bottom on fishes, crustaceans, chaetognaths, nematodes, bivalves, and gastropod molluscs.
