Summary:

Females are greenish above with narrow orange-yellow and bluish-green stripes, a blue-edged black spot at upper caudal-fin base and a large blue-edged black spot at soft dorsal-fin base.

Males are similar to females with more intense bluish-green to green stripes, pale greenish bars along the upper sides, a deep green spot on the pectoral-fin base, and no black spot on the dorsal fin.

Distribution	Recorded in Australia from Lindeman Island, Queensland, to Jervis Bay, New South Wales. Inhabits shallow sandy and rubble areas with algal cover in depths of 1-10 metres.
