Summary:
A small strongly compressed reddish scorpionfish with a whitish snout, and two broad pale bands on the body, and a broad whitish band on the rear of the spinous dorsal fin.

Australian material was collected SE of Ashmore Reef, Timor Sea in 95 m. Elsewhere the species occurs in the West Pacific - Indonesia, Philippines and Papua New Guinea. |
