Summary:
A cream to pale yellowish or greyish moray with a darker mosaic pattern, a long snout, and curved jaws with and many prominent sharp teeth in the mouth.

Distribution |
Julian Rocks to Cape Banks, New South Wales, also the Lord Howe Island Province and Norfolk Island in the Tasman Sea. Elsewhere, the species occurs in northern New Zealand and at Easter Island. Inhabits holes and crevices on reefs. |
Feeding |
Carnivore - a nocturnal predator, feeds at night on fishes and crustaceans. |
