Distribution |
Offshore reefs of north Western Australia, and possibly the northern Great Barrier Reef, Queens;and, and reefs in the Coral Sea. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical, east-Indo-west-central Pacific: Indonesia east to Micronesia and Fiji, north to Taiwan and southern Japan, south to Australia. Individuals or groups usually inhabit steep outer reef slopes at depths to 70 m. |
