A medium sized dogfish with a short rounded snout and a relatively robust head. Pale grey on the dorsal surface and white on the ventral surface. With an upright first dorsal fin and a slightly concaved pectoral fin. The caudal fin is short and noticeable for its lack of a distinctive dark bar through its ventral lobe.

From the Queensland plateau (off Cairns) to Montague Island (New South Wales). Endemic to these Australian subtropical regions. |
Features |
Medium sized dogfish, with a short rounded snout and a relatively robust head. Upright first dorsal fin and prominent dorsal fin spines, base of first spine usual more robust then second spine. A slightly concaved, long pectoral fin and a relatively short caudal fin with a white posterior margin and lacking a distinctive dark bar through its ventral lobe. Similar blade like teeth in the Upper and Lower jaw. Pale grey and lacking white spots on the body. |
