Summary:
A whiting with a series of brown oblique blotches along the midside overlayoing a silvery midlateral stripe, smaller oblique bars along the upper side, and a black spot on the pectoral-fin base.

Distribution |
Mandurah, Western Australia, around the tropical north to Hinchinbrook Island, Queensland, and possibly south to Mackay. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical, west Pacific (New Guinea and Indonesia). Inhabits inshore muddy and silty areas. |
