Distribution

North West Shelf, Western Australia, and the Coral Sea off the northern Great Barrier Reef, Queensland. Elsewhere the species is known from off Japan and Hawaii.

Feeding

Feeds mostly on zooplankton, crustaceans, annelids, molluscs and other fishes.
