Distribution	Off Exmouth, Western Australia, to Lizard Island, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland. Elsewhere the species occurs in the Indo-west Pacific. Inhabits sandy/muddy areas on the continental shelf.
Fisheries	Taken as by-catch in commercial trawl fisheries.
