Feeding

Thought to "primarily feed on soft-bodied invertebrates based on the morphology of the dentition, with all tooth-bearing elements being characterized by minute, granular teeth resembling sandpaper with no discernable rows or other pattern".

Remarks


Similar Species

Differs from other species in the genus in having the dorsal-fin origin above the preopercle, no pseudobranchial filaments, short pectoral fins and pelvic fins that do not reach the anus.

The species is named after the type locality: Rowley Shoals, Western Australia.
