Genus Psychrolutes
Summary:
A genus with at least 9 species found in the South Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Two species occur in Australian territorial waters. Characteristics: Head fleshy, lacking obvious bony projections; dorsal rim of orbit indistinct; interorbital difficult to detect but width generally more than twice diameter of exposed eye; vomerine teeth absent; body and fins uniformly pigmented.
