Genus Urolophus


Summary:

An Indo-Pacific genus with about 21 species. Fifteen species are known from Australian waters, and most are found off southern Australia.

Species of Urolophus lack broad flattened fleshy lobes on the nostril margins (lobes are present on the outer margins of the nostrils in Trygonoptera).
