Summary:

A genus of hardyheads with 11 valid species having the following characteristics:

  • Ascending process of premaxillary long, less than horizontal length of premaxilla;
  • Lateral process of premaxilla short, conical;
  • Dentary with a prominent process on posterior end;
  • A notched anterior preopercular ridge.
