Genus Monomitopus


Summary:
Robust cusk eels, with the diameter of the eye window equal to or slightly shorter than snout, opercular spine strong, 2-3 more or less well-developed spines on lower angle of preoperculum, one median basibranchial tooth patch, pelvic fin with 1-2? rays.
