Summary:
Video of a Plainfin Frogfish (aka Plainfin Midshipman) at the large Elkhorn Slough wetlands on the central coast of California, USA. Although adults usually live at depths of about 400m, in the breeding season during spring and early summer in California, they migrate to shallow intertidal locations. Males attract females to their "nests" by making a humming sound.
