Distribution

Western Tasmania to off Cape Naturaliste, Western Australia. Also in Australia's Subantarctic Territories.

Etymology

The specific name australiae (= of Australia, as the species is endemic to southern Australia. Jackson and Nelson: “Given the paucity of outwardly apparent specific characteristics within this genus, geographic names seem fitting for newly described allopatric species of this wide ranging genus.”
