Distribution

Northern Australia, from Barrow Island, Westrn Australia, to Maroochydore, Queensland. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical, west Pacific (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and New Guinea. Occurs in a range of habitats from intertidal areas near mangroves, estuaries, and reefs to depths of 68 m
