A flyingfish with a broad yellow bar on across the pectoral fins, a dark spot on the dorsal fin, a large black spot on the pelvic fin, and small spots on the dorsal and pelvic fins.

Off Exmouth, Western Australia, to off Burleigh Heads, Queensland. Elsewhere the spcies occurs in the tropical, east-Indo-west Pacific.
