Distribution

Great Barrier Reef, north of Cape York to off Fraser Island, Queensland. Elsewhere the species occurs in the tropical west-central Pacific.

Species Citation

Ophichthys misolensis Günther 1872, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist. 4 10(60): 426. Type locality: Misol (as Misool) Island, Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
