Summary:
A duckbill eel with a spatulate tip on the snout that extends well beyond the lower jaw, and a small gill slit positioned in front of and below the pectoral-fin base.

Feeding |
Carnivore - feeds mostly on mesopelagic crustaceans. |
Etymology |
Named ingolfianus after the Danish ship "Ingolf". |
