Distribution

Recorded in the Australian EEZ from off the Innisfail region, QLD (17-18°S) in 380-450 m. Found elsewhere in the tropical West-Pacific.

Species Citation

Dixiphistops megalops Fowler, 1938, Proc. U. S. Nat. Mus. 85(3032): 116, Fig. 55. Type locality: Off San Fernando Pt. Light, western coast of Luzon Island, Philippines, Albatross station D.5441, depth 186 fathoms [16°38'N, 119°57'18"E].
