Distribution |
Cocos (Keeling) Islands in the eastern Indian Ocean. Elsewhere the species is widespread in the Indo-Pacific: East Africa to the Line and Tuamoto islands, north to Hawaii. Commonly inhabits rubble and coral reefs that are subject to considerable wave action, sheltering in reef crevices and cracks. |
