New Zealand Cucumberfish, Paraulopus novaeseelandiae Sato & Nakabo 2002

Summary:

A pale greyish cucumberfish becoming white below, with silvery sides, and two rows of small yellow spots before the dorsal fin that become yellow lines on the side. The dorsal fin is pale greyish with a black margin that tapers in width posteriorly and a white submarginal band, a distinct broad black margin on the upper lobe of the caudal fin, a white anal fin, and mostly greyish pelvic fins with a white margin.

Distribution	Near Norfolk Island on the Norfolk Ridge in the Tasman Sea. Elsewhere the species occurs in the northern New Zealand region.
