Distribution

Off Raine Island, Queensland.

Colour

In preservative: dorsal background uniformly yellowish to pale brown, skin covered with tiny chromatophores; ventral surface uniformly pale; all fins translucent; no colour patches on dorsal surface of disc and sides of tail. Fresh colour unknown.

Etymology

The species is named "after Mark McGrouther, the former collection manager of the Australian Museum, Sydney, for his great contribution in assisting our studies and his friendship".
