A small brownish puffer, paler below, with bright yellow and blue radiating lines around the eye, small blue spots on the body, a yellow spot above the pectoral fin base, and a yellow tail with blue streaks.

Distribution |
Recorded in the Australian EEZ from the Australian Territory of Christmas Island in the eastern Indian Ocean and the northern Great Barrier Reef, Queensland. Found from Christmas Island to the Hawaiian and Society islands, north to southern Japan, south to Tonga and Rarotonga. |
