  • No Photo Available Threespot Righteye Flounder Samariscus triocellatus Woods 1960 Actinopterygii > Pleuronectiformes > Samaridae > Samariscus Samariscus triocellatus is a small slender righteye flounder with a mottled brown body and three dark-edged ocelli along the lateral line. It usually lives on rubble and sandy bottoms of coral reefs. As it slowly moves across the bottom, it is well camouflaged to resemble a flatworm, sometimes waving its black pectoral fin.
