Leopard Flounder Bothus pantherinus (Rüppell 1830) Actinopterygii > Pleuronectiformes > Bothidae > Bothus A brownish to greyish left-eyed flounder with dark spots and dark-edged pale spots and florets on the eyed-side, and a large dark blotch on the straight section of the lateral line towards the rear of the body. It usually lives on rubble and sandy bottoms of coral reefs. As it slowly moves across the bottom, it is well camouflaged to resemble a flatworm, sometimes waving its black pectoral fin.
