Endemci to southern Australia from Port Phillip, Victoria, to Lancelin, Western Australia. Inhabits deeper rocky reefs and often sets up cleaning stations on sponges and ascidians. |

The Eastern Cleaner Clingfish, Cochleoceps orientalis, lacks the bluish tail and has irregular bluish bands and wavy lines on the back. |
